Butler County Physical Therapy employs licensed physical therapists who have earned a bachelor's, masters or doctoral degree in physical therapy. All have passed a rigorous licensure examination and are required to complete continuing education coursework for licensure renewal.

The physical therapist is responsible for evaluation of the patient and designing a plan of care to address the individual needs of each patient. This may include pain management, range of motion exercises, strengthening activities, gait analysis and training, functional activities, balance and coordination tasks, conditioning and endurance training and patient/family education.

Physical Therapist Assistants

Physical therapist assistants at BCPT work closely with the physical therapist in providing care to the patients. They are also graduates of accredited physical therapist assistant programs and have passed a comprehensive licensure examination. They are an integral part of the rehabilitation program providing various therapeutic treatments to carry out the plan of care as established by the evaluating therapist.
